What people ask before starting

No. Our specialist physiotherapist will assess your suitability for the programme.

Each strengthening session will take around 20 minutes to complete, and we only ask that you complete this 2-3 times per week. For optimal knee health these sessions would be accompanied by other activities in your week such as regular walking.

Each month we also provide you with educational videos that you can watch at your leisure to help you make informed choices around looking after your knee.

An online assessment with our specialist Physiotherapist who will:

  • Ask questions about your symptoms, medical history, and understand how your knee pain affects your daily activities.
  • Discuss possible causes of your symptoms and explain what’s happening in your knee.
  • Provide advice on managing your symptoms, staying active, and assess your suitability for the Joint Approach programme.
  • If necessary, they can liaise with your GP.
We know! It can often feel really daunting and perhaps counterintuitive. However, we also know that strengthening your knees can make your pain much, much better. We show you how to exercise in a way that’s comfortable.
No. You can use any of the following devices to access the programme: smart phone; tablet (including iPad); laptop, even desktop computer.
